Hi! I'm Rye

Hi there! I'm a 9-month-old Havadoodle with a big heart, a brilliant brain, and a pretty awesome curly little mohawk if I do say so myself.

My favorite place in the world? Outside! If there's a trail to hike, a yard to zoom around, leaves blowing in the wind, or a new place to explore, count me in. Life is just more exciting when there's fresh air involved, and I'd love a family that feels the same way.

People tell me I'm incredibly smart—and I have to agree! I pick up new things quickly and love learning. Around the house, I'm a training superstar. Bring out the treats, and I'm all ears! But once we step outside... well... have you seen how interesting the world is? Birds, squirrels, butterflies, sticks, mysterious smells... there are just so many important things to investigate! Treats suddenly become a lot less exciting than whatever adventure is happening around me. With a little patience and consistency, though, I'm always eager to learn.

I'm the perfect mix of independent and affectionate. At bedtime, I like having my own cozy place to stretch out and recharge. But during the day? That's cuddle time! If you're settling in for an afternoon nap or relaxing on the couch, don't be surprised if I quietly sneak over and decide your lap (or at least your feet) is the best place to be.

One more thing about me... I have a bit of a weakness: cats are just WAY too much fun to chase! I don't mean to be rude, I just can't seem to convince myself they're not inviting me to play. Because of that, I'd be happiest in a home without cats, where I can focus all of my energy on being your best adventure buddy instead.

Since I'm still growing up, I'm looking for a family that enjoys continuing my training, giving me plenty of exercise, and keeping my busy brain occupied. If you're looking for a dog who's eager to learn, loves being outdoors, enjoys daytime snuggles, and will happily make you laugh with my goofy personality, I just might be your guy.

I can't wait to meet my forever family. Now... who's ready for our first adventure?
